Flowerhorn tank mates include Carpintis cichlid of Herichthys genus

Herichthys carpintis or the carpintis cichlid is a lowland cichlid, with nicknames that include pearlscale cichlid or green Texas cichlid, and this species is endemic to Mexico where it occurs in the Pãnuco River drainage and the Soto La Marina River. Herichthys carpintis are also called Escondido.
